    Disable AoE magic/ablilites in towns

Please can SE disable the AoE spells and abilities in towns.

I just don't get these players who jump around and stand in the towns spamming over and over AoE's. It is so frustrating, noisy and fills my screen. When I trying to work on crafting or talking to NPC's or using the ah I don't want that happening next to me.

Sorry for ranting but am I the only person this annoys?

Disable other players effect and sound, move elsewhere to do your crafting, be patient, ....

Seriously? The towns are not JUST for you, you know.

The real problem is the lack patience of certain players and their inability to understand that the world IS big enough for all us.
There are more than enough convenient and quiet spots. Just head into a residential ward to have access to the market board and your retainers without having to smell the adventurers dwelling in the main parts of the cities.

    TLDR: NO!

LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
    (Marvelous economics IQ test!)

Frankly - you can simply dissable those in your settings but what I'd much rather see enforced is to prohibit crafting in the main shopping areas, in front of the Market boards and retainer bells (the same way like it's not possible to do so in the Inns). The amount of morrons crafting right on the top of the bells or in front of the MBs and other NPCs is incredible ...

I do understand what your saying, it is just at times it really annoying if I am trying to use the AH or something like that when next to me is someone spamming over and over an ability.

When I can I do move to somewhere quiet and away from it.

I would not want to disable those settings- when I party it would still be disabled would it not? I completely agree with you about the crafting thing

the thing with not lettin crafter craft in market near the bell is silly, most of us crafters do have material given to our servants, thus we do need fast access to those should we require material that we do not carry with us....in fact, not letting crafters craft in the Inns has led to this situation. Easier would have been to forbid crafting in the market BUT allow it in the Inn....aka personal room...where we have access to our servants and we do not annoy anybody...or better yet, create a zone where all crafters can go and craft...that way only the crafters would use that zone.

AoE is totally another story and I agree, although I have been guilty to have used it too just to see what it is. Testing is one thing, but doing it repetedly 10 to 20y in a rown like the Holy for Whm or that silly skill of tanks that you have flashes allover..is annoying

Moogle must be very crowded. People crafting around bells and market board on Faerie aren't blocking my way. I don't think you can craft inside an Inn but it would been nice to have been able to. It would have been nice to access a market board from an Inn and not just our retainers.

There are 3 seperate settings for 3 separate groups - You, Party memebers, others - for each you can have full, partial or no effect. I use full for myself, partial for party and none for others.

I'm mainly crafter as well and while I do aggree not letting us crafting in Inns seems silly (but it's most likely down to crappy instance servers) I don't agree with crafting RIGHT in front of the bells and MBs. I will not kill anyone to spent five seconds to walk a bit away. And I'd love to see "crafters" (semi-)dedicated locations apart of FC Housing.

Not really but even one crafter like that is annoying and pretty rude.

Please SE, can you disable crafting in the towns? They spam my messenge log while I RP so that sometimes I have to look for the previous messenge, and their craft in inappropiate places and the sound is killing me.
You're actually the "silly" one as you can both dissable the sound and other effects as well as the actuall messages in the chat logs. The point is about crafters PHYSICALLY crowding the busy location by being lazy to take 10 steps away and craft away from the main footh paths etc.

Yeah because this post is clearly not me making a parody of OT's post and is totally my own opinion and not me reasoning like TS to make him get exactly how silly it sounds.
