Gilgamesh speaks! Why not primals?

I'm sorry, I know some of you have noticed me bring up similliar topics about voice acting and I did read some replies. Yeah, sure they can't add voice overs to EVERYTHING, I get that. I'm just tired of reading crap.

"HEY FRIEND, WANT TO COME OVER AND WATCH ME READ FINAL FANTASY?"

It'd be nice if there were more voice acting in general or at least in major boss fights.

Actually, the Primals do talk during the trials. They are not as talkative as Greg though. And I believe they do not say the same things as mentioned in the text baubles, but since i've set my in-game volume low (so that I can hear what my party members are saying through TeamSpeak) so can't say for sure what they're saying.

Ifrit and Garuda also talk during the 2.0 storyline (I have not seen Titan or Leviathan talk though).

Titan says in the beginning of the battle “Son of man! Murderer of my Children!” and i think i saw him say something at (the end of) the heart phase. Leviathan says something like “Are you trying to defeat me with trickery?” after the first Tidal Wave.

Again, since i have my volume set to low, i can’t really make out what and if they are saying something at that time. (^_^ )

The primals DO speak. However, I don't think any of their lines are actually voiced if that's what you were getting at. I've never once heard any of them actually saying what it is their text bubbles say

Boss voices would be cool. I'd would give them some personality at least.

The bosses have plenty of personality, it's just in ARR they have relatively short cutscenes so they aren't particularly expressed very well. :/ It's unfortunate, but I don't think having them talk during their trials would add this.

Gilgamesh is a notoriously chatty fellow during combat and out of combat, it just makes sense that he's that way in ARR as well.

Addition: I remember quite clearly the very first time the video trailer for ARR was launched that the primals (Ifrit and Garuda, at least) were voiced in particular cutscenes, but for whatever reason their voice track was cut from the game at launch.

If you'll recall they even had the JP voice actress of Garuda as a special guest during one of the older live letters. Garuda did/does have JP voice work other than her laughing and screeching and I am fairly sure there was also an English voice actress that did lines for her as well.

Whatever the reason (negative feedback from beta forums, most likely), they were scrapped. I remember being disappointed the first time I got to the Ifrit Story Mode and it wasn't voiced at all, like was shown in the trailer.

Garuda Speaks during the storyline ( when Ultima appears i think ) but not during the fights. It was really something i liked in WoW, it make the fight much more epic when the boss actually say something instead of just having the text.
The only fight where ennemies talks are the empire's boss ( Gaius, Nero, Rythathlyn and livia ) and some of the soldiers during the praetorium.
