12GB patch?

Hello, I just installed the game a few days ago and the original install from scratch was about 9GB. Now I just went to log in and it is saying that I have 12GB of updates to download before I can start playing. It doesn't look like there have been any patches or updates between when I installed the game and today.

Any ideas what's up with that?

Your game doesn't ship in the box (or as a digital version) up to date. It's just catching up to the most current version.

I see, however it seems strange to me that it would just now apply these updates even though I have already been playing the game for a few days. Is that normal? I got a digital download from steam.

Oh right, yeah that's not normal if you've played recently. Sounds like your launcher has decided it needs to download the game files again for some reason.
