this is literally the exact same circumstance you are suggesting would or "does" happen with a LSThis is correct and would be considered a legitimate clear as long as they were in the FC at the time - based on progression standards since the beginning of the game and most any mmo you can find. The difference is that they would actually have to take the steps to leave their current FC and join another for the credit, instead of literally doing nothing and just being in the Linkshell. It's about commitment.

The word "exact" implies "exact". In the example I gave it was not the exact same. Leaving an FC to join another is not the exact same thing as staying in one Linkshell and joining another Linkshell. You don't have to leave a Linkshell to join another one. An FC is more of a "physical" placeholder for your character since it prevents you from being in another one while inside of it, while a Linkshell is just a chatroom that you can have multiples of.
I really don't understand the point of this very NEGATIVE thread.
You're not giving a FC recognition it deserves by taking away recognition that a different static deserves. 8 people tagged under AU got the server first. 8 people in Asylum's linkshell got the server second. 8 people in Royalz FC got server 3rd. 8 people in 7girls1cup linkshell got server fourth.
This game has been out for a considerable time now, and I all too well know that attrition has impacted it greatly. For example, people have considerable gil (time) invested into things like FC housing that discourage guild hopping just to tag for a kill. I mean this is, after all, the purpose of a linkshell. You're basically discrediting linkshells for being used as their intended purpose.
Now, I don't know what consensus you took from leading FCs to come to this decision, but it doesn't seem like a good consensus when the amount of FCs that have cleared vs the amount of LS's that have cleared is 50/50.
... and since we're on the point. I know that certain linkshells have kept the same static throughout almost all of their t9 progression, while some FCs have brought in replacements / server transfers who have been tagged for shorter than certain linkshells have been in a static.
Do you see my point? The whole point of this negative thread has only resulted in making these particular linkshells, and these groups of 8 players, look more appealing than the might of the FCs.

We aren't "taking away" anything. The rules of the previous progression threads stated that it was for FCs. Credit was never given to them for their t9 clears on the previous thread even. Sevyn just became dissinterested, started only scanning the thread, updating once a week, and abandoned his thread. He didn't check the list of names on the screenshots to ensure they were all members of an FC, so he just gave them credit. Or if he did double check, then he suddenly changed the rules of a thread that he had taken over of the same rules/nature.

I posted that my group was a linkshell. He had to have read it to see the name of the content we downed.
