I would just like to make the point that there is clearly benefits for LS's to be credited. Just like FC's people leave the static for other MMO's etc. Having the kill credited helps us recruit good replacements when needed. There is clearly demand for LS's to be credited and benefits that you just don't seem to recognize. It also shows we are willing to work with people to not force them into a FC (due to invested FC housing etc).

Where is the line drawn? Should I also have a "Friends List" progression thread, or a "Black List" progression thread? Or maybe my Weekly Primal Clearing Linkshell should count as well? I mean if that's the case I might as well just bring together the most godly players of Ero-Join and crush everyone on the server and then go back to raiding with our FC's right? This is where things get complicated.

It's like multi-guilding and only receiving the benefits. What's to stop everyone from just forming these all-star squads and then just returning to their FC? In any competition including sports, you can't take place in two teams and just glorify yourself conveniently based on which of those two was strongest. It's the same case with guilds and linkshells. And unfortunately, this wouldn't be as much of an issue if the linkshells that did clear T9 weren't comprised with people who are part of free companies who have cleared.

More members in a Linkshell is just... more members in a Linkshell. Linkshells in this game are literally chatrooms, not guilds like they used to be.

FCs gain recognition, knowledge of standing compared to other FCs, and increased/better recruitment options. More members in an FC means more FC seals, better benefits, Gil, access to an FC bank, knowledge of when your friends log on and off, and housing - among other things. This also promotes more people to get together and commit to their friends and create an FC.
