In Game Chat (Why is there no option for this yet! It is kind of archaic not to have)

Lets settle the "Forced to use" issue right now. Have you not played xbl.You can invite people to chat parties. Who said it would be forced on anyone? Having the option to invite people in your party or friends list into a chat party is hardly forcing anyone to chat. It is not an issue of why it shouldn't be implemented but an issue as why is hasn't.

Pro's
More options other than a third party program for chatting. (This also caters to multiplatform users.) As of now you must use a smartphone/pc and a third party to chat, which is archaic.
Easy to explain instruction and better end game communication.
Praise for FFXIV implementing something that should have been there day one. (I cannot think of a mmorpg/fps/moba/etc. in which in game chat would be a bad thing.)

Point being we pay a subscription and there are no reasons why a chat function should not be added to the game.

It becomes somehow forced the moment you are in a party with 7 people of wich all the 7 people are pressing you to get on chat voice too cause they consider you a down for dont do it and possibly just solve it by kickiin you out the group (here is the discrimination)

I for one dont care about in in game voice chat. If we get it i will mute it and if we dont i'm fine by it. If is soooooo a nececity for you we have alternative voice chat, and a lot for that matter. As you said in the OP you had in game voice chat because that was a xbox 360 feature not a SE feature. Same with the ps4 right now, they have in game voice chat because is a ps4 feature and can only be use by other ps4 people.

Again just because you wont use it others should not have the option? PS4 voice chat does not solve the issue of cross platform/multiplatform chat. So your point is weak.

For those again who believe this would force you to use it... or find it discriminatory. IF that was the case it would be like that now with all the PC players using Ventrillo. Again no one can make you do anything. YOu may have PF groups that say voice chat is the must but I highly doubt you would have that problem in the Duty Finder. Maybe just make it so that there is no Party Chat in Duty Finder... Bam all your problems solved.

^^^^^ First off, who said anything about forced? There are so many ways to implement a chat system that doesn't force chat use.... Make it to where it can only be used in Party Finder.. O.M.G! Problem solved... holy crap A solution that is a compromise! God forbid we do something other than complain! Use your brains and fix the problem. If you cannot play this game with chat then upgrade your internet... it takes very little strain on internet connection to run a chat system. But if you still want to argue that point... again just make it an option for Party Finder and guess what! Problem solved yet again!

And again you complain about fair. How is it fair for console users to be penalized because they can't or should not be required to download some random 3rd party program that is a staple in practically, if not all, multiplayer games developed today?

First, I'm all for a compromise, allow it to be disabled entirely to allow the server hit to be lowered. Second, not everyone can just magically "upgrade" their internet, I live rural and I'm lucky to have high speed at all, even if it's no better than dial up. As for the impact, at least on my connection I've tried to run third party programs as well and it just wont, you argue to not have people on consoles penalized for voice chat, I argue to not punish people on bad internet that they cannot upgrade further because of a lack of infrastructure to not be penalized either, so, you have an in game compromise, try a real world one too.

I am sure there is a way to implement the voice chat and minimize the effects that it has on internet connectivity. Like I said, just make it available for those who are using party finder. People PC users not playing with multi platform users will most likely stick with 3rd party. But those who do not have that option or prefer to not use 3rd party chat options can use in game voice chat.... I think you are blowing the voice chat thing out of proportion.
