I will make this simple. Either increase the amount of people we can have blacklisted OR actually start enforcing the rules involving the gil spammers and RMT spammers and have them deleted and permanently banned from this game.

You can add every single Spammer to your list one day but a week later new ones will fill their shoes, it's something every MMO has and will go through.
Doesn't matter if the characters are deleted -- you still have to delete the "(Deleted)" from your blist. Better that there's an option to auto-remove name #1 on your blist when you try to add name #201.
I have to agree with the TC tho, I've hit the 200 cap several times over. about once a week I have to go through and remove (Deleted) and then remove another 25 or so names just to have room to add the new ones that will send me /tells when I'm crafting, I would just turn off /tells entirely but I have friends who actually use that to get my attention when I'm spamming craft.
the worst thing tho is that there isn't even a safe zone anymore. I even get /tells in Coerthas..
I actually prefer to craft in FC Housing areas because of that![]()
Which is why we need a system we can use to automatically report and put them on a temporary "hidden" blacklist that is emptied automatically at regular intervals.
Could not agree more with all of these suggestions. Square should be doing so much more to allow players to control their interactions w spammers: infinite block list, "special" block category for spammers, report option, auto-clearing deleted blacklist characters, etc. This is not a small problem -- it's majorly annoying, more so than in any other MMO I've played. Their spam problem is very serious.
This paired with a report spam button that does just this would be a perfect solution, would allow us to actually use our blacklist for it's intended purpose instead of as a safe haven from spammers. It could also allow for easier spammer identification for example if someone is reported by say 50+ people they get flagged for a review or somesuch, i'm not really sure what anti-spam reporting features even exist in the game at the moment :/ . I really hope something like this gets implemented soon it's probably one of the biggest issues with this game (the server side checking for aoe effects tops this but not by much)
