Really helped, chose a different data center , back to the main menu and chose and went inside .Error 2002 and 5006 possible Solution
I had been receiving this error as well and have been using the following solution to get around it:
1. Try and log into my main server (midgardsormr for my main). I generally get kicked out and see the 2002 or 5006 error.
2. I log back in and swap data centers at the main screen. Pick a different data server from your primary that has an alt character on it. I use the EU data server for my swap since I carry a lvl 17 alt there. You do not need to log in this character, just get to the character selection screen.
3. exit the character select screen and return to your primary data center.
I have had success with this method for 3 days now, only running into problems this morning, where I simply repeated the process and was able to play the game.
Good luck everyone! Hope to see you all in game.
getting it now...sigh.
hi guys i had the same issue error 2002 on my pc for a week lol
so what fixed it was a system restore to before the issue started happening !
hope this help peeps out !
Well, I was just playing happily for a few hours until I got disconnected, and now the 2002 error is coming up for Chaos, but I'm able to log on to Elemental so I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with firewall or security or anything of the sort since accessing the Japanese server takes 1 second. And I was in game already so it's not like I installed some update that broke the connection since I was logged on 40min ago before the game kicked me out.
Also, I tried pinging the server and that works fine.

If it's a problem with too many people wanting to log on, and you're tackling that issue by kicking people that were actively running dungeons out of the game that's not really ok. I'd rather you brought back the 10min afk disconnect thing.
This is really upsetting and I hope that the transfer to real European servers will happen sooner than later and fix a few things.
I've been able to contact a few people from the same linkshell to let them know I had gotten dc'ed and they are having the same issue.
Please let us know what's going onI'm surprised that no official explanation has been given since I've seen quite a few other posts regarding this..
They messed up Data Center while fixing one of the worlds. Data Center is back up now though.
Oh yea! Glad they fixed it.
Thanks~
Again this error 2002, and nothing helps
Was logged in and got DC'ed around 10 am GMT on Ragnarok EU server have not been able to access the game since. I have been able to access my alt on a JP server fine. But the explanation fix for this error in support is useless and definitely not the problem seems SE would rather blame us rather then the ISP's they are using for there data center and or not taking there ownership for the issue. This makes your company appear incompetent SE. If you don't reduce the continually problems like this, do you realize you will start to loose players? Does this not effect you personally? Because it affects your player base very much.
Note: So after 5 hours and just as i'm writing this i can log back in the data center again without any changes to my PC definitely concludes it was on your end SE or something to do with the ISP's you use for your data center. I just got 90002 within 10 mins of logging back in finally and the 2002 error has started again.![]()
