Error 2002

Can we have an official Square Enix response to this thread please and maybe more detailed information rather than 2002 or 5006.

Also confirming that connecting to the Japanese data centers presents no problems whatsoever. The moment I try to switch to Aether I get either 2002 or 5006. The trick of switching data centers and going back to Aether is no longer working.

The weekend which was supposedly for early access is almost gone and wasted for many with this problem. The game launches in two days. Hopefully when someone comes into work tomorrow they will address this situation.

How the hell can this many people be having this issue and Square enix cant even respond.

I just bought the game and I enjoyed it for one night. Now my game wont sign in to the primal server after 32 straight tries. I tried switching the server, It works great but as soon as I hit Primal it boots me out to the sign on screen and tells me one of the two.

I have been reading tons of forums about this and apperantly Square enix just "doesnt care" about its player base

I can't log in either, but I think its just our data center, because I can go to other data centers and log in just fine, just not the NA/EU one.

I agree. Every other DC connects fine but Aether is bleeding out.

Update: Was consistently receiving 2002, now I am receiving 5006.

Error 2002 and 5006 possible Solution
I had been receiving this error as well and have been using the following solution to get around it:

1. Try and log into my main server (midgardsormr for my main). I generally get kicked out and see the 2002 or 5006 error.

2. I log back in and swap data centers at the main screen. Pick a different data server from your primary that has an alt character on it. I use the EU data server for my swap since I carry a lvl 17 alt there. You do not need to log in this character, just get to the character selection screen.

3. exit the character select screen and return to your primary data center.

I have had success with this method for 3 days now, only running into problems this morning, where I simply repeated the process and was able to play the game.
