I can't log in either, but I think its just our data center, because I can go to other data centers and log in just fine, just not the NA/EU one.

I agree. Every other DC connects fine but Aether is bleeding out.

Update: Was consistently receiving 2002, now I am receiving 5006.

Error 2002 and 5006 possible Solution
I had been receiving this error as well and have been using the following solution to get around it:

1. Try and log into my main server (midgardsormr for my main). I generally get kicked out and see the 2002 or 5006 error.

2. I log back in and swap data centers at the main screen. Pick a different data server from your primary that has an alt character on it. I use the EU data server for my swap since I carry a lvl 17 alt there. You do not need to log in this character, just get to the character selection screen.

3. exit the character select screen and return to your primary data center.

I have had success with this method for 3 days now, only running into problems this morning, where I simply repeated the process and was able to play the game.

Really helped, chose a different data center , back to the main menu and chose and went inside .

I've tried the switch data center trick but I 2002 on all of them. Which seems odd that I would get 2002 on all data centers and yet fellow FC members have got into the game just fine. Almost makes you feel like your client is being blocked. I hope tonight's maintenance fixes this, haven't been able to get passed 2002 since Sunday afternoonish. Tell us the truth... is Hildebrande on the job?

I can't even get past the start button after the update. Anybody have any ideas why the 2002 error is occuring? Tried renewing my ip, resetting my router and pc tried every data center. Once I hit the start button I see it load and then boom, 2002 error on every Data center any ideas?
