Put the level on the Soulstone

As many already know arcanist are getting both summoner and scholar when they leveling up.I don't realy like that way because that way a person that plays summoner can change to scholar and going into a high level dungeon and not even healed before.

Instead I would put the levels onto the soulstones that we get at lv.30. So when you for exemple leveling a arcanist lv.1-30 then choose to play summoner you get the summoner soulstone that will allow you to level summoner lv.30-50 and when you done that and decides that you also want to give scholar a chanse you equip the scholar stone and you again need to level 30-50. This way you atleast need to play the class before joining high level stuff.

This will also make it easier for SE to add more classes without people get the class already at lv.50. Take Dark Knight that could be a combined class between Maruder and acranist. People that already have maruder at 50 will just get it at max level but with this way I explained they will need to level it from 30-50 and get to know the job before they are max level.

This sounds like a nice solution to me.

The thing is, this isn't what Soul Crystals are actually designed to be - all a Soul Crystal is, is a means of specialization in a class's role, that's all. It's not meant to be like FFXI's Job system where each Job is seperate. Here you have your base class and a Job upgrade to that class, you can't have a Job without the class you're levelling.

And before you pass judgement, players actually wanted this system - when Yoshi first took over as FFXIV producer, he asked the 1.0 player community whether we wanted to keep the existing class system and have Jobs build on them (as what we have in ARR), or scrap the Armoury System and replace it with an FFXI style Job system. Overwhelmingly, it was in support of the former, hence Job Crystals. So I don't think there's going to be any change along the lines you're asking for I'm sorry to say.

I'm an old Final Fantasy XI player and also 1.0 player and I never liked this class system. I think the one in FFXI are way better and same as Surian writes the game would have so mutch more variety of weapon to classes.

And yet if they would have removed the armoury system we could have new jobs that:

    - wouldnt have 90% of the skills of their original base class if they get a new job tackled unto it.
    - could use a multitude of weapon kinds instead of being forced to be stuck to just one. What if i want to use Sword/Shield -and- great swords, and staves and maybe clubs now on my PLD?
    - would be an unique side-branch of the class, without simply being an upgrade like it is now. Who would want to be a Gladiator when Paladin has all that and more.

Seriously, the Armoury system is terrible. I dont know why anyone would favor such a horribly flawd system.

That is your opinion. I think it's great.
    To answer your points
    - building a job off of a pre-existing class with their skills lets you have more jobs faster and a wider variety of specializations
    - classes restricted to 1 type of weapon makes it easier to balance properly so we have better balanced classes/jobs
    - makes each class actually more unique from each other. no PLD using a great axe and no WAR using a sword and shield (also you aren't meant to go back to Gladiator once you unlock Paladin. previous FF games did this type of thing as well)

To add a few more points
    - easier to learn new roles. a SMN unlocking and learning SCH is a lot easier of a transition than SMN to WHM
    - helps players play different roles with one class leveled (see SMN + SCH)

So you saying that if SE decides to add new classes people will just get them at max level and have not even played them once is fun and that will help players to get better ? A player that been leveling up as a summoner going into a dungeon first time as a Scholar and don't know how to heal is fun and helps the player ? I don't even think that for a secound. That player will be vote kicked because he can't heal. And if that player had to atleast level a bit to have that job at max level he would have learned how it works and can handle it better then one that just get it at lv. 50 and never even played it. Don't you think ?

Aside from that, no I am not saying anything like in your post. First of all you have to play the job to fully unlock the job. You just don't get your soul stone for free. Second, yes going into duty finder and going as something you don't know how to play well is exactly how you learn how to play. This is how the SMN who is going as SCH for the first time learned how to be a SMN in the first place.

I never sad that I kick people but I have seen it. And then why do they have vote to kick people. And "playing the job" to unlock it! Yay! 4 quests realy makes you know the job. >< Yeah you learn to play your class/job by doing dungeon/dutys and stuff but do you not think that a player that been playing the class/job from lower level know the class/job better then one that get it by leveling a complet diffrent class/job ?
