To the OP, this is a level of transparency I would like to see as well. Not only will we be able to make more informed decisions on attribute distribution, the worthiness of buffs, debuffs, and gear, but we will also be able to "see" if an ability is affecting a target attribute as intended.
Trust, but verify.

Although I've always wondered if you could use emulate, see which element you take on, and then use that to exploit an enemy's weak element. It would of course only work once because of the nature of the internet, but seeing what element the great buffalo is would be nice because it's really odd he hits for so little with the ability on but he seems 100% physical.

I hope this will apply to food effects too.
Plus I would like to see what the food will do before I use it, but if nothing else, have it show up on my character would be nice.
I would also like to add, that it would be excellent to see our base stats and then next to them a +/- (green/red) stat bonus from armor/gear/food, etc what have you.

Agree with the OP. The reset stats isn't an issue seeing as how they are getting rid of physical level so each stats will be class/job specific from what I've read.
I hope they change animation on magic something more amazing looking like FFXI
Agreed. I know it is said that attribute points minutely effect att, acc, eva, and that it is mostly based on class rank, but it'd be nice to see some noticeable changes in said stats.
Will we also be finally able to cancel buffs by clicking on em like FF 11? ...Would be nice for Spiritbind :P
