I think he actually said in the Nico Nico event or in a Live Letter somewhere that they aren't using them anymore. Instead, they have a big board of items they are working on in various teams and it gets changed/updated accordingly.

At least 1 Chocobo in the Chocobo stable at bentbranch is female, because we saved an chocobo egg against thieves in the gridania storyline

I'm all in for it if it's in personal housing, which would be best. Dunno about you but I was sick
of my FC having all their hands in the gardens not knowing where my crop went I took the Gil to spend on it.

I like the 2x2 plot...hey at least it's something. xD! I just wish personal housing was here.
It'll be fun decorating your own home or tend to garden instead people in charge. I had fun for the most part lol.

How about the ability to reset your points that you have given your chocobo? I stuffed up my point placement and I want get bardings but that ain't gonna happen now
