Spammers

Well, I had no idea where to put this thread, so I figured why not here !
Logged into Ul'dah today, and am immediately greeted by three spammers in tells. Wonderful. Well, wandering about the city of Ul'dah, I find NINE spammers, all grouped up, ALL level 50, just spamming away...

Also sent your help desk a "cheating" complaint. Wonder how long it will take before you actually ban these guys.

Yeah they're always like level fifty archers just chilling in their spammer pods :/. I know your pain. Faerie has a ton of these guys.

Gilgamesh is getting hit hard today. After blocking 20 spammers in about an hour I just logged off. I've never played a paid MMO that had anywhere near this amount of spam.

i think they got pissed em off with the last ban because they are going crazy on Cactuar. /set to busy!

and btw, that pic... i just reported 3 bots blinking in and out of the DF wearing the same exact stuff.
oddly enough they had ilvl 90/100 jewelry & waists on. figured they were SB'ing and gathering gil by killing the 1st room of whatever..

I just can't imagine it at all. Last week I got an RMT spam I was so surprised, since I han't gotten one for more than 2 months.

RMTs are dying out in JP servers, because most JPs don't buy gil, and the cost of deleted spamming accounts is not worth it for the (almost non existent) RMT business in JP servers.

Stop buying gil. You guys reap what you sow in your servers.

I play on ps4 and barely even look at my chat so when I get a tell from a spammer it does not even register in my head.

You realize we have like the worst server like 5-8 spam a minute and how you not see the chat box I pkay on ps4 also. How you communicate with your party?

When I am in one I talk but even then it doesnt bug me..I wish it would stop yes but I guess it just doesnt phase me.

It wouldn't phase me either if I didn't have to keep clearing my blacklist...lol But yeah, it's pretty bad on Diabolos. Hopefully SE will come up with something to nail em hard at some point. Until then, though it'll be an annoyance.

I agree, it also helps I dont really message anyone even my party unless I have to. Otherwise the spammers are just background noise. On WoW I used to have friends get so mad because they thought I was ignoring them when I just dont really watch my chat unless im in a dungeon.
