Super-server / Mega-server question

A super/mega server is when all the worlds combine.
Where as all players who play FFXIV can all meet in the same city, field, etc...

Maybe this question has probably been asked many times.

But if FFXIV were to convert to a super-server/mega-server, what kind of issues would arise?

The only issue I can think of is the people who already paid to transfer to another world.
How would the player who paid real money to transfer react?

Lag.... Massive lag and that is even if you can log in. 90k 1017 do you need it?

I'm on a pretty small server and my PS3 takes forever to load in places like Mor Dhona. I don't think it could handle loading at all if everyone were on the same server.

It's too late now. It should have happen when SE was rebuilding FFXIV. It would be way too much development effort now.

Super/Mega server mergers are used in situations when population issues arrise. I don't believe there would be any such concern with that in FF14....at least not for quite some time. As far as I know, the current servers that are available have been since the re-launch. If there were going to be any closures they would have mentioned something by now and offer free transfers to those affected.
