I-I like Agumon! p-pepper breath!
Don't insult digimons please. They are far far away better than the Egi's that float around in this game

Ew, the pitiful looking egis aren't anything like Digimon.
Personally, i'd be far more interested in playing SMN if the primals you summon took on a Stand-like nature. A bit more humanoid-esque with powers based on the primal they're associated with.

The first job hybrid will be Stand user, a mix between Summoner and Monk
You can have all the
ORAORAORAORA
MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA
ARIARIARIARIARI
DORARARARARARA
you could ever want.
I'll take The World, or maybe King Crimson. I always thought of getting the CT Crimson outfit if I ever leveled a caster, and then wearing a crown and calling myself "Queen Crimson".

I played SMN in FFXI and it was awesome. When I found out what SMN was in XIV, I refuse to play it. It's a bad attempt at a pet job. And when I saw the first screenshots of egis, I was all "lolz..."

I am ok with the looks (this thread was the same when in Beta, but with new players, I guess SE will have to look at it lol)
I just want Ifrit to be... usefull at endgame?
Mayhap with the level cap raise, new abilities will make it superior than garuda?
Can't wait to see Levi-Egi in action! ^^ (then again, poor Ifrit won't be needed)
It feels like this: use carbuncle < Ifrit (gbye carbuncle) < Titan (gbye Ifrit) < Garuda (gbye Titan) < Levi (gbye Garuda) < Ramuh (gbye Levi) on and on...

I think there's supposed to be a revamp of SMN pets coming in the near future, 2.28 or 2.3?
