How did a thread about why we can't unequip our weapons fully turn into a complaint thread about the way the female version of the swimsuit looks?

I'm not thrilled about it either (Not that it's revealing, but the design is meh.) but I'm not about to complain about it.

But I will say, back on the topic of this thread, the ability to hide our weapon would be a good idea too? We have it for headgear, it shouldn't be hard to make our weapons invisible. At least as a crafter. It's not exactly realistic that we pull ovens and anvils out of our arses but they seem to be hidden away somewhere.

I agree with Wildy, lets get back to always having to see your weapon. I wish for christmas I could have put on my santa costume and not have had to see my sword. I wish that if there was an event we could dress like an easter bunny... I wouldn't have to wear my bloody axe. I wish if I put on my swimsuit, I don't have to be careful not to poke myself with my arrows and die from their poison. I don't think this is too much to ask, at least before the next big event. At the moment, it can wait, but I think it should be implemented by the time there is another event with costumes... like haloween... assuming we will have a haloween event.

    2 ways of doing this:

    1) have a command similar to the command that lets us equip/unequip our headgear... and if we have our weapon unequipped and want to fight, just have it automatically switch to be equipped... so it is like we had our weapon hidden but had to bring it out for combat. After combat we have to hide it again (type the command again) or it will be shown. That last part I think is vital. It won't hurt people who want to be in "civilian" class as mentioned in the beginning of the thread, but at the same time it will prevent the unreality of having weapons randomly appearing everywhere. If have recently been fighting it makes sense to be able to see the weapon.

    2) This idea seems to me to be easier to implement but I think it is not as good as the first idea. For certain pieces of BODY equipment (such as the swimsuit top, the santa coat, etc) they could make it so that when that body piece is equipped it will make your weapon invisible (unless you are in combat). Chances are you won't be fighting in something like that anyway, so there won't be TOO much of a problem with weapons just randomly appearing. Also, I say only the body piece should affect it because I see no point of the weapon disappearing if you put on some dream boots. If you are dressing up with the costume, the body is the most important piece, and would naturally be put on, so I think it is a good indicator of if the weapon should be shown or not. The bad part about this is that you can only hide your weapon with select equipment. I, for one, would like to be able to hide it regardless of what outfit I am wearing.

In general, I think this feature would be really nice and help the game a lot. I know the RP community will love it at least. So will a lot of the players who enjoy the aesthetics of the game.

Agreed. A one piece would be cute, and a little more tasteful on a lalafell than a bikini.

Or if it is a two piece suit, it should at least be something styled like this style suit. Lalafell just don't have the chest for a bikini.

Also I hope the guy suit is just shorts for the other races. The male top is a little strange on that roegadyn.

And regarding weapons, a /command to hide them would be cool, since it could apply to any situation. I could hide my weapon because I think that it looks weird that it clips through my velveteen hat.

I just hope the swimwear is underwear. I'd gladly replace my booty shorts and tank top for a bikini under all my sweaty leather.

One thing that throws me off chronological-wise is that in-game, it'll be summer/bikini time two to five years (will bikinis have durability or count as undergarments?) Where in real world, only a few weeks have passed.

A hide weapon toggle might be nice when not in active mode.

I'm all for hiding the weapon, no matter they implement it.
Making a civilian class would probably be the easiest for SE, knowing their horrible engine and it's limitations.

Or, even easier, they could give every class a weapon model that's too small to be seen.

No.... dont' want 1 item space taken for some dumb ass weapon just to hide visibility.
Rather go with visual on/off option.
