No reason not to provoke but it shouldn't be your first action.
For Caduceus you should have BB or Halone already precomboed for the split.
Split
Halone > spirits > start running, while moving to position > lob > voke > lob.

The only time I've ever had to voke was if the other tank died and snakes went back to 1. Otherwise I'd just 2x hawk into hate combo. But that certainly is a different way of doing it.
