Actually Coke, Peacock Ore, Animal Fat, and Potash I prefer over any gear. Not Filtered Water and Cooking Sherry, that stuff is worthless.

Extreme dungeons were (before 2.28) the top dungeon content. Best way to farm myth. So you have people in there who greatly overgear it already. i70 gear to them is worth exactly 805 GC seals. ...Which mostly are used to buy the same crafting materials at 2500 seals each. Better to just get the crafting drop right away.

i70 gear is good for newer lvl 50s, sure. Even stopgap for an alt until you get around to coil/myth to make it full i90. But i90 is easy enough that making *a fraction* of chests drop more valuable stuff (although not immediately wearable) is a good way to make stale content a little less boring.
