I don't know a single person in game that has ever used their Darklight gear for glamour because frankly, it's hideous on almost every class, especially Tanks. Maybe now that it's dyeable it's more worth farming for glamours but honestly everyone I've met in game agrees that almost every Darklight set is ugly as crap. Until it was dyeable, people just replaced the Darklight gear immediately upon getting Myth gear and left it to rot on their retainer. I get that not everyone's been playing for release, but Darklight Gear isn't really much of a stepping stone now. It's been rendered fairly useless except for obtaining a couple pieces to make running things like CT easier, and then you just farm your CT gear.
Honestly, the drop rates for Darklight are better now than they were in 1.0. Darklight dropped approximately 1% of the time in 1.0, and it was all RNG'd which piece would drop. I don't LIKE that Darklight has been rendered all but useless, I feel there should be a slower progression, but that's not how it is currently.
Also, considering that Myth tomes are used to get stuff other than gear (such as high level crafting mats and stuff for your relic weapon - including Animus books), it's a little pointless to suggest that they shouldn't drop in i55 dungeons. Only two of the HM Primals (Titan and Leviathan), the EX Primals and both Coils have above i55 requirements currently, so that'd limit obtaining tomestones to...practically nothing. Maybe in the future when they expand the game more and have more available content.
It's not even just the mats though. It's even things like the manuals (which give a fairly big EXP boost for crafters), or other stuff that the GCs give out for seals. It's entirely likely that it could cause massive swings in the game's economy. At least people farming dungeons for crafting mats, they aren't obtaining a massive amount of them in one quick go. They may get one or two mats per run, as opposed to farming DL gear, getting a massive amount of seals, and then buying large stacks of those mats.
