Timers

Please, for the love of the Twelve, can someone explain to me how the stupid timers work? They make no sense to me. I was working on gathering the items I needed for my Grand Company Supply and Provisioning missions after having crafted all the items I needed, when the list just CHANGED in the middle of the afternoon.

The timer says 12:33 Remaining (5/23 5:00). Why in the 7 Hells did the list change in the middle of the freaking afternoon? I wasted time, money, and materials, and now have to craft/gather an entirely different set of items!

This is stupid, and needs to be clarified.

I think what's needed is a fix rather than an explanation. According to this thread:

the time listed for the Supply/Provisioning missions is bugged. (4 PM Eastern is apparently the actual reset time.)

Oh! I promise I searched before posting, but I searched for 'timers' and got tons of posts that were completely unrelated. Thank you for that info though.

yeah. it's been broken since launch. you would imagine they would have fixed something like this. i don't even do supply and provisioning missions because of it. no point really. i guess it must be an extremely difficult thing to fix. :/

A simple time zone bug does not warrant taking this long to fix. They should have taken care of this a long time ago.
(The actual reset is at 5 AM in Japan, but the Timers window computes it as though it were 5 AM local time, in whichever time zone you're in.)
