Try PF, or form your own linkshell that have the same interest as yourself.I'm in the same situation. Mostly a solo player and still stuck on titan ex and turn 5 with no light at the end of the tunnel. Makes me wonder sometimes why I still bother capping tomes every week. And talking about coil DF wait times. Yesterday I queued for turn 2 to gear my alt BLM and waited 40 mins only to get in and immediately the healer says "oops thought I queued turn 1" and left causing others to leave and my 40 mins wasted. Everything to do with endgame is just starting to really irritate me.
T4 is almost close to 100% success rate using DF now that echo buff is here.
Make a PF group and put "Learning" in the comment. I am sure there will be a decent number of takers and you will get to run way before you hit 2 hours (assuming it is not graveyard shift).
I don't know anyone who'd que for T5 in DF. Even if they nerfed it to the ground.
Also, on the subject of echo buff, making T5 even more easier isn't going to help out players in the long run. If they're still having trouble clearing it with the way it is now, they'll probably end up getting stuck on T6 unless they find a group to carry them.

My experience in T4 DF is:
Wait 30 minutes as DPS in queue
Zone in
Tank 1: im new here
Both healers leave, other tank leaves, sit around for 10 minutes waiting for replacements that never come, everyone abandons
So, instead of waiting for someone to start a party in PF for learning turn 5. Why don't you take the initiative and create one yourself instead? Also for turn 5 an extra 5% echo will not help you to win. You are going to wipe if you can't dodge dive bombs and get knocked into the edge. You are going to die if you can't handle twisters or switch target to dreadknights etc.SE can you please do something to make people want to use DF for T5? Why did you change your mind about the echo increase? Who cares if a lot of people are clearing 6 month old content that drops ok gear.
PF is an option, but it's full of people that want kill exp and I'm a solo player. I've studied T5 and practiced in DF, but it never works out. If the Echo was increased enough, a party might be able to overcome these issues that will never disappear (people going in unprepared).
SE can only do things up to a point. They gave us the tools to facilitate things. It's up to you to use them.

Maybe I am stupid expecting to use DF to finish T5, but it's a part of the game, what is the point of having DF if it's useless? Why doesn't SE just remove it and we can all use PF.
I don't know what the solution is, maybe increasing echo won't help, maybe it will, but I hope something is done. If not I will just accept that I probably won't finish T5. I will continue checking PF in the hopes that someone on their isn't wanting T5 kill exp or I will start a PF group like I have in the past and wait, because no one wants to join a PF group where you might not finish.
This isn't fun, and I know a lot of you think I should get over it, but most casuals like me will just quit after enough frustration, they won't post on forums. There is a reason why WoW catered to casuals so much, with great success.
Look, I'm a more of a casual player (only completed turns 1 and 4) and I think it's OKAY that there is some content in the game that requires more dedication/skill/team coordination than I'm willing to put in. There's PLENTY of casual-friendly content in the game, in fact almost all of the content is readily accessible to a casual player. It doesn't take away from my fun that there's ALSO some really challenging content made for elite players only.
See other topic on front of forums about "why do i have to know a fight before joining" that is why people don't DF T5
