Im going to speed up the run. how do i do that? Holy? yes holy. I don't run out of mana nor rely on a bard EVER in a dungeon for ballad. And you know what? i get the commendations for speeding up the run while keeping the party alive/not letting the tank get that "oh crap im about to die" feeling.

its because its the best looking attack, i love to spam holy xD, ofcourse i know my mana, i know how to use it, im not spamming like crazy

Because using holy on two mobs is a big dps increase then stone 2 spam. Faster the mobs die = less room for mistakes. Also I use the rotation Aero 2 > Aero > Swiftcast > Holy > fluid aura > Stone 2 spam in a single target fight as it gives the maximum.
(I use aero in this case because its an instant cast spell, so I can fight in swift cast's animation while my moves are on GCD).

As a WHM, even when holy spamming, I don't need mages ballad. And if I ever need it? So what. The 20% reduction on your damage is offset by the fact that holy does tonnes of damage. This is me being "elitist" against other classes - its a fact - holy is a 200 potency AoE, which means it deals huge amounts of damage to mobs.

It seems you just do not like supporting the group? If so then change to BLM if you still want to be ranged or play LNC if you still want awesome weapons. While they have some support, it isn't nearly as big as the support BRD/SMN gives.

WTF is it with most of you White Mages spamming Holy when there is just three mobs or less in the lv.50 dungeons? Yes, I have seen White Mages use Holy on just two mobs and even a single mob.

It's this way most of the time when I queue for Duty Finder as Bard. It's like you see a Bard in the group and you are all like "Ooh, Mana Battery!". To me you are just wasting mana.

When I see a White Mages start spamming Holy, I don't use Mage's Ballad till after the fight. At the next fight I turn it off. If they are still halfway or less on mana when we start the next fight, then oh well. They should of not spammed Holy on just two mobs. If the next fight is a boss fight, then I do leave ballad up a bit after the start of the boss fight if White Mage still needs some mana.

I don't even use Holy in any dungeon up through aurum vale.
Only use holy in the story.

If the healer and the rest of the party is not dying, then who cares what the WHM is doing?

Ooh no, they ran low on MP by the end of this mob! How terrible it must be! If only there was some any of waiting 8 seconds for them to recover some.... But that's impossible.

It's not like you are playing Star Ocean and they can die from MP loss.
