    Coil turn 2 and bard

So I just started to do coil runs on df a few days ago. So far I've had a few easy runs in turns 1 and 4, as well as 1 really easy run in turn 2. Then I hit a wall with turn 2. 3 times in the last 2 nights I've gone into turn 2 on f'd and straight away the tanks refuse to start the fight becauset there isn't a bard. While quite a few in the party want to try they will not even try it because "I don't want to wipe at the last boss". Now I understand having a bard might make this encounter easier but it's the whole attitude of not even trying if the party isn't perfect. To me if you go into df it's random so you won't get the perfect party, so you should use party finder if that's what you really want. What I want to understand is why they refuse to even try the fight. Just feels like they feel if the fights not easy then they don't want to do it. Isn't coil 1 supposed to be the second hardest raid and so actually be a challenge?

They just bad ppl's and dont belive in party "spirit" , T2 can be easy done w/o bard . For enrage if healers good , party will survive few sec of para on 1~2 pulse .

The problem with not having a BRD is lack of Mage's Ballad. This is especially true if the healers aren't as well geared. Any combination of PLDs, MNKs and SCHs can take care of High Voltage silencing.

High Voltage is a joke nowaday. T2 can be done without Bard, even 2 SCHs.
But can't blame much to those people as they might wiped a lot before and don't want to waste 10-20 mins on it. (yea, it's tank's privilege to get new party very quick)

A privilege infers they earned it. It's not their privilege it's a happy accident that people largely prefer to DPS...but back on topic.

Yes it can be done w/o BRD but if the two healers are just barely meeting the ilevel minimum there's a good chance they'll OOM and it'll be a wipe. I don't agree the tanks should just bail but at the same time I do see where they're coming from. It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to hammer through the entire turn every time you lose to ADS. This is another reason people should learn the proper method. Hell.. detour and take out the Rot node if need be. YOu shouldn't even need one full rot cycle to kill it and the echo is enough to overcome the buff it gives ADS.

Glad to know it's not just me then. Just feels like these tanks do not enjoy the game and just want an easy ride. It's a shame but after seeing this 3 times out if 4 it makes me just think I'll grind myth for the drop I need from turn 2. To me it feels a bit rude as they might have instant queues but the 4 dps have probably been queuing for 20 plus minutes. But oh well. I like challenges and do not mind a wipe. I go into these instances because they are difficult.

T2 is a lot less mana intensive if you don't wait until right before the enrage starts to fight ADS but apparently that became a thing because people just cannot dodge the laser for some reason.

only done enrage a few times but never went oom without a brd..

its pure laziness but you can't fix people, once theyve decided they need a brd its like talking to a brickwall

Well it doesn't help when they get paired with healers that just spam AOEs instead of timing it so they land right after the enrage damage hits and save a ton of MP. Hell I managed to "luck out" and get a WHM that decided the best way to patch up AOE damage was to spam single target heals on everyone.
