I could see the Allagan's residing on a Moon. However there is so much more to the current world to explore before we even get close to seeing a moon expansion.

It's an idea, but Eorzea is only a small area of Hydaelyn; we have a lot more of the world to explore still.

mmhm , in FF series usually 4~5 other continents + countless isles , not to mention sky/underground , even cosmos (moon/asteroids etc) and not forget time travel and "other" dimensions

Unless Hydaelyn's other moon is artificial just like Dalamud that won't likely happen since that part of FFIV was on an artificial moon not the actual moon.
