Need to actually participate to get loot at end

Se needs to do something, like If your alive during a primal fight for a certain percentage of it, then you can roll on the loot at the end. Same with boss fights in dungeons. Maybe for 60% of its health or more.

I just had someone go afk at the start of titan hm came back just in time to outloot me for the spear for my lancer. If they implemented that it would prevent that sort of action.

that's good, in theory. but as we all know, the most important step is to prevent abuse.

Healers can easily choose who to heal/not to heal, working the system in their favor. For this one reason, everyone has to suffer because it's simply a possibility. Remember the PvP bunny hopping thing, and SE saying, "please don't do that". .......... the only way to ensure fairness is through restrictions. Granted, getting to cast a lot on gear at the end of a fight when someone has been dead the whole time isn't very "fair" in itself, but when a system can be exploited to malicious outcomes, such as the proposed suggestion, it's even more of a red flag.

Or you could just not be greedy and try again for your loot the next time? There are way too many threads dedicated to trying to take loot from people. It's silly.

Plz stop with all the restriction ideas because you had a bad experience. Last week, I finally managed to beat Titan Ex. In the group I was in, I was consistently one of the "last standing" players. But in the run where he was defeated, I died to a fgn bomb I have over looked when he was down to 5% Health. So no loot for me because I was dead when he went down?

I know the feeling when the AFK or "always dead" guy gets the loot. I also know people I have helped with Titan HM who had the guts to loot on a weapon that I could have used immediately while they have the combat character for it at Level 10 or were "going to start it very soon". Life can be a bitch sometimes but still everybody has the same chances. So just see it as "sometimes you win and sometimes you lose".
