Castrum and Prae were pretty friendly to newcomers in 2.1 from my experience. The Duty Roulette added in 2.1 handed out a bunch of philo in different places, which made it more worthwhile to run a variety of content instead of just speed running castrum/prae over and over again. However, 2.2 added the myth grind for animus. There's more pressure to get their daily done for the bonus myth and get back to grinding other places. I think it's added to the level of impatience.
However, don't feel too bad if you miss the boss fights cuz you're watching the cutscenes. It's really that big a deal. This won't be the last time you run those dungeons, you'll have more than enough time to get tired of those bosses.
