Or just have a lockout on bosses until everyone finishes their cutscene, the same as when zoning into a dungeon. Fixes everything

What do you think a hasty elite is going to do when he cant fight the boss and HAS to wait - complaining, flaming, insulting, ....

It´s really difficult: you WANT those high geared to help in story mode, to reduce queue times, but they don´t want to stay there to long, so that´s where the rat bites its tail...

Why spending 30 Minutes+ in a fast run w/o Cuts with CM/PRE, if you can do the same amount of mythos in 2 BrayHM runs (15 Minutes)...

When you are off Roulette, it´s even only 20 Mytho´s... no point in doing that.

CM/PRE was attractive to endgamers when a roulette run made you 300 of Philos... now there is just no point,

so i don´t know why endgamers even go roulette there, harassing newbies, while no real benefit of doing it.

People would just stop doing the zone. I would if I was forced to sit through them all. The bonus 80 tomes isnt worth it when I can do 3-4 runs of Longstop (Hard) in the same time.

In fact the solution has been implemented, SE has added "no skip CS" option to PF.
That's why some players suggested new players use PF for story quests without any skipping. ^^;

The reason people do it in DF is for the roulette bonus. People are not doing CM/Pre out of the kindness of their heart. So doing it in PF is pointless because there are faster ways to get tomes.

Right therefore i said "suggested new players use PF for story quests without any skipping" ^^;
because if a new player want faster queue, then he may group will people want faster tomes.

The best answer is you find a nice FC / Do a Party Finder and say that you are skipping no CSs and want to clear it normally not a speed run. If your FC has nice people they should be more than happy to do it for you, I did it for some of my FC members. Heck you don't even need a full group from your FC, just the 2 tanks and the 2 healers, at that point you can force it not be be a speed run, DD are a dime a dozen. If you go the party finder route you also shout in mor donna, there may be alot of elitests there but there are also some nice people standing around and if there bored they do help random people who ask nicely (personal experence asking for help with hydra/chimera/cape westwind pre-duty roulette).

Make storyline roulette require the "new person" that actually chose that duty be required to hit a "ready button" to start the CS for a boss. This will at least make sure you could not trigger a boss fight and lock them out

I think there should be a toggle option, similar to the "Join a dungeon in progress", which enables folks to choose to toggle whether they wish to be paired with first-timers. That way, the impatient players have their own place to grind (even though, really, it would be faster to go into PF and build a myth grinding party that way), and first-timers and folks willing to help (like myself) can be paired together to clear content without having to worry about rude players.

That would defeat the purpose of helping with new players' queue times. Good luck waiting on 7 other new players in the time you can play that won't just choose to skip cutscenes due to long wait times. I would probably say the wait times would be close to Cape Westwind or Turn 3 Currently. In other words, it just won't be worth the time for any vets to run through.

I didn't read everything people posted. SE is trying to keep the story content relevant so new people can get it done, Without having to wait for hours like in some other MMOs. Force players to wait, who have already beat the content is only going to hurt the new player base. The only incentive we have to rerun those two dungeons is the Bonus from DR. Why would I sit and wait 45mins+ for someone to finish cut scenes for 100 Tomes? I could make 300-400 tomes in the same amount of time. Yes it is stupid as hell for any veteran player to get upset or kick a new player for watching CSs. All that says is they suck as a player, Because they cannot carry 2-3 people in the easiest dungeons in the game.

I could care less who is new and who is watching CSs. I can carry 2-3 people including a Tank, Can't carry a healer (as a DPS) but it can be done with one. You want to watch your CSs? Go ahead, If you get kicked or people give you any lip report their ass. I've seen my fair share of players talking crap to new people for watching CSs, But I tell them to don't worry about it and continue.

I agree with some of each post, but I would say watch your CS and let's the vets go ahead and fight. Honestly to tell the truth if you're new to the dungeon you are going to get more from the CS then the fights as most of the players will be over geared and they won't last long. I go in as healer and can solo heal it while nuking.
