How is the RMT Tell Spam on your Server?

On Sargatanas, the tells dont show up until after midnight PST. I'm not in dungeons before then since I'm at work and idle at FC house

Virtually non-existent on Tonberry. I think I've only gotten like 3 /tells since playing at launch.

Ragnarok is pretty safe nowadays. IIRC I've got just 2 RMT tells this month. Currently my blacklist sits at roughly 20 RMT characters just because I always forget to clean it up

I dunno if it's because of atma quest but the only tells I've gotten in weeks are always on the field now. Have you found this to be the case?

Maybe I've blacklisted everyone in towns already.

Btw remember that you can click the name for instant blacklist. This simple tip improved the quality of the game considerably to me. At this point at least on Balmug RMT really isn't a problem of any relevance. Even to a player like me who's ALWAYS selling all kinds of goods on the MB.

On Shiva, the situation is bareable. Interesting thing is that RMT yellers seem to start moving from the cities to the open areas (e.g. Central Thanalan). No idea why they do this (maybe they suspect they do not get banned this fast).

As a side note, I think SE could be quicker in banning them. The whole process of reporting, checking for veracity and banning can be semi-automated, even with just one or two GM monitoring the inbox for RMT spam on all servers, it should be possible to ban them almost in real-time. Also, why is SE not suing the web sites that were spamvertised? If it is like e-mail spam, there will be hardly more than 10 individuals or so around the globe who are behind this crap.

Ragnarok used to be pretty bad. I've still got a full block list but I think that's because I only delete the ones that haven't given thought to the character name. I figure anyone with a proper name sending me RMT is probably either A) using a leveling service in which case I want nothing to do with them or B) has had their account hacked, which frankly means their probably better off making a new character anyway.
