Armor concepts are awesome

For a long time I took armor design for granted. I just assumed it wasn't a difficult process and a simple one that every game eventually went through. After doing some digging, it appears that information on old armors is few and far between. In all likelihood, the armors we've seen in FFXI and FFXIV were created based only on paltry descriptions of old, worn, and functionally useless relics. Knowing this has given me a new appreciation for the work that's gone into design and creation of the armor and clothing we've seen thus far.

With the inevitable level cap raises, I can't wait for what armors we'll see in the future.

Definitely more practical than most MMOs (especially Korean) nowadays.

Yeah there's no stuff like a chainmail bikini. Female characters actually get covered in the armor rather than having their midriff showing and a huge amount of cleavage.

Ugh I hate how people toot the Unreal Engine 3 and says its the kwisatz harderach, buts its crap, sure crystal tools is probably crap for mmos, but unreal is crap it looks nothing like xiv does, and the game graphics makes me nauseous (i get motion sick with crappier graphics, thats why I can't play shooters, its not a matter of not liking them, i just gravitate towards the fantasy genre due to motion sickness) Sorry /rant, reminded me of it when people said SK games and gear.

Love the gear in this game, but mage gear leaves me wanting. I guess I don't want to look like a blm anymore :/
