What if that guy gets Lost City again? He's just gonna eat another 30 minutes?

They should gray out the abandon button for 15 minutes, same time as the vote
abandon.

My group has actually been avoiding Brayflox lately just because it's so boring. We've been farming soldiery in the other two dungeons. I actually cringe if I get Brayflox as my random.

Maybe SE does not do this because you punish players who have a disc, loading error or smth not in their control.

Yes, this is only a solution if it only works if you hit "Leave", BUT it isn't a solution at all because then people just force DC so you kick them or abandon the dungeon instead and you CAN'T in that situation forfeit the player's roulette bonus because the game has NO WAY to know if it was a force DC or a genuine DC. Of course they can always just afk and make you vote kick them and I wouldn't want to forfeit a roulette for a vote kick either because it's too easy to screw an innocent person who maybe got screwed by a team of speedrunners. A start to a solution is to fix the bug that allows you to jump ship at the very beginning and not get the 30 min penalty. I would accept a 30 min penalty on the rare occasion I get DCed loading in if it meant stopping the idiots.

It happens in low level dungeons as well. I was doing low level roulette on an alt and got regular Halatali. Tank left before the rest of us even got out of the cutscene. Luckily my alt was on arcanist so I summoned topaz Carbuncle and we got past the first boss and were close to the second when another tank popped in. Tank was probably trying to get a specific dungeon for an ATMA book.

I know, you never know if it was a DC or really something happened that needed the players immediate attention so he had to go. But what should be done is to start monitoring abandoning behaviour. It must be possible to track how often somebody hits the abandon button after a dungeon has started or is about to start (at least one in the group is still watching a cutscene).

If it happens more than 2 times per day, display a warning that the next abandon leads to a penalty. And it should be higher than 30 minutes. How about 30 minutes for first bailing, then double it for the second time and so on and reset once per week. Additonally, after the 2nd time the Roulette bonus should be scratched for the day.

Oh and I wouldn't mind if Tanks have double penalty time. They get pampered with bonusses a lot but still it is the class that causes most trouble to other players because they know they get a new group in a heart beat and always have their finger on the abandon button very quickly.

Then I hope you like to wait for an even longer queue, considering how few people play tanks according to the devs.

Feels like this is in place already. After 1 week, 7 straight days of Lost City for my roulette I'm personally and utterly sick and tired of that damb place. Yes, I do leave, because I'm tired of it. If I wanted to run nothing but Lost City, I'd select it manually till I got my fill. In stead, I'm forced to forgo my roulette bonus to choose Halatali and BF. There's nothing roulettey about Lost City every day. It's pretty much guaranteed now if I choose Expert Roulette, which is why I no longer will. Because if I get Lost City, I'm leaving. Point-blank-period.
