    Guild Mark purchase advice

I am getting close to being able to purchase my first skill as a Pug. Any suggestions on which skill I should buy first?

I'd wait the extra day and see what 1.18 brings maybe, just in case they change any of the other abilities for the better. You'll need to get Prime Conditioning eventually though.

Definitely agreed here. But prime conditioning is a safe bet even with 1.18 coming tomorrow. I purchased these skills in the following order: Prime Conditioning > Pummel > Flurry. I absolutely <3 flurry but we'll see what they do with it come 1.18. Pummel was ok when I initially got it (does generate a ton of TP per hit) and it is good as an opener with blindside active, but I don't ever use it these days, and if i'm not mistaken isn't it going away with the next patch?

Nop, only the default basic attacks (like heavy strike) will be removed for AA.

I like pummel alot...have flurry but i use pummel fulltime instead of heavy > flurry. i'll need to change my playstyle tomorrow tho since pummel will have recast time and MP cost. Might end alternating pummel and flurry or pummel and light strike.

Ah my mistake then. I could have swore I remember seeing that heavy and pummel were getting dropped and light and flurry were going to stay, maybe not though. I'm surprised if you have flurry you use it over pummel, it builds TP so quick and you get 3 hits . To each their own though.

flurry gives 3 hits not pummel sojiro.

And ya we dont know what flurry and pummel are going to do after the patch at the moment as it relied solely on the stamina bar, and now its getting a recast timer.

I know . My wording may have been a bit odd (it was late when I typed that) but I was indicating that flurry gave 3 hits and generates a good amount of TP.

Post 1.18 for those that may come across this post.
Prime conditioning is best choice still

Pummel now cost 20 mp and has 30sec recast
Flurry now has 60 sec recast

But they will both be helpful when you need some tp or to finish off a mob.
so just pick them up when you can after prime conditioning
