I have seen some trolls but I have to hand it to the mods they are quick to ban them. I was worried this would be like the Beta forums where 9/10 post was about how X mmo was better, Lolz SE fails, or Screw this I am going back to WoW.

So far it has been the 2 sides of the playerbase debating with each other. So far these forums seem much more cival then any other Official site I have ever seen. I am just hoping the mods keep it up... so far I am liking the new forum.

Now with that said there is alot of worthless post where someone says this sucks but offers no reason why or how they want it fixed... so that is although not trolling it is information the devs cannot act on and making it harder for them to filter through the mess to get good stuff to improve the game. I wish ppl would not post those without giving a suggestion or reason.

I am hoping the devs see what the two sides want and finds a way to make both happy the best they can. Making a Wow/mainstream clone or a FF clone will both fail completely. If they want to make a game that is desired by FF fans and Mainstream they need to include things that both sides want making compromises where needed.

Alot of people are actualy being very civil here with their complaints

remember, just because they complain, doesnt make them a troll, or a hater, or whatever

the ones who are the main problems are gone for the most part, only a few who are actively trying to be a problem here now (belgium for instance)

so maybe you are looking too far into whats expected, these forums will not be complaint free, but civil conversation can still happen with complaints you know

but i still stand by the fact "most" people here are being rather civil, but yes, there are a few bad apples

learn to use the report function on the posts to handle them, that little triangle in the bottom left of each post, and hopefuly the problems get solved and the trolls get ousted

Also go the the "why should i buy this game" thread. Several ppl already voiced their derailing "will not reccomnd this game." when giving a chance to say if "a friend" ask about them game. Said op ask ppl play along and not say bad about ffxiv.

Sorry but one line posts are trolling. being vocal in every post in how bad this game is, is counter productive. Derailing suggestions to fix "not well liked" concepts with "this is bad we need Ah;s" is trolling.

I don't understand the point of this thread. If it's meant to make this forum a more productive place where people offer viable alternative opinions rather than just attack each other, then the thread is rather self-defeating by virtue of it's own content. If you want to derail a troll's train then you should just ignore them and offer your own solutions, rather than start a thread to complain about them

I suggest you not take things so personally and just ignore the people you think are trolling/derailing/whatever. The sooner you stop expecting people to do exactly what you think they should, the better.

dude read the full thread. Every time they posted was that repeated.
And I wanted my idea brain stormed not debated on if it was good or bad.

If the topic is market wards giving 1 liners saying auction house or make it an auction house, or how about an auction house is rude and counter productive.

Ideas shouldn't be debated on if they are a good idea or not, they should be brain stormed into a good idea.
