I understand not being able to cast and move at the same time, but really, why can I not turn? And even if they dont allow us to turn why the hell is my right side field of view so much larger than my left side?
It's largely a balance thing, think about it, if they let BLM's "run and gun" and damage had no effect on casting, then with their nigh infinite MP pool they'd be unstoppable murder machines. To compensate they'd need to either severely nerf the actual damage of spells, mp regen, or up cast times... or all three to keep BLM from being OP.
Same with healers, they'd have to find another way to balance then, that in the end would be worse than having to stop an cast.

good players seek other good players, lesser skilled players shouldnt be looking for other good players, they should be looking for people who are the same skill level as themselves and get good together, hate it when people say i want a good group, what you should be saying is, i want a group that is equivalent to my self and improve from there.
updated OP with points 7 and 8. Rather simplified as i'm currently a tad busy with the game.
Right. I am a good player, but my server is new. Even our best players are still learning T5. DF wont help, because everyone on other servers who is a good player knows the best outcomes will be with a skilled party they put together and not DF randoms hoping to get carried.good players seek other good players, lesser skilled players shouldnt be looking for other good players, they should be looking for people who are the same skill level as themselves and get good together, hate it when people say i want a good group, what you should be saying is, i want a group that is equivalent to my self and improve from there.
how exactly do you judge you are a good player compared to other people, how do you place the bar, is it your self? or that others do better then your self, or those that do worse then your self, if someone is doing badly, and your just doing a bit better, that makes you better in that sense, doesnt make you good in the sense of the content requirements that or players above you.
Again, the term should be equivalent to your self.
Learn to pivot. You can pivot during casts so you're always facing the target. This will not stop your casts. From your complaints it seems you still have a lot to learn on BLM.
Correct me if I am wrong but you cannot compare BLM damage to a BRD damage simply due to the class mechanics.
I am certain if the devs know what they are doing in equal gear the BLM should put out more damage than the BRD just because the BLM cannot move and continue to attack as fast as the BRD. I could be wrong, but logically I don't think I am.
Play a runemaster on DAoC, i swear to god if someone farted on another realm, you was interrupted!
This doesnt make any sense as classes like archers have high damage and can move as well. Plus, whenever i fight things usually i'm not moving...so that would mean I'm an "unstopable killing machine" 99% of my game time. which would result in them nerfing the class anyway.
I wasnt suggesting making it so mages can run and gun. I was saying, archers can aim their bow in front of them and shoot behind them on the move but a BLM can't hit an enemy roughly 45 degrees to his left? Why not add a simple turn when casting, or even snap to the target.
