Already emailed my ISP going to be on the phone with tech support tomorrow about it the Tracert info. Getting disconnected while running dungeons at peak hours, so yep going to to get this solved. Raist if you got any other advice you can offer it would be helpful..
Well called my ISP talk too them about it...They told me they could not reroute my connection too a different route.Going to keep trying but got a feeling nothing will ever be done. As the congestion is out of their hands just like its out of SE's hands, so everyone figures why the help if its not our PROBLEM..
I had the same response from my ISP... I really have no idea what else to do. Not even pingzapper is helping me now.
Today I have been getting error 90002 quite a lot, in an hour been out of the game at least 7 times. It is really strange since it was running smoothly the day before. I have tried then moving to my laptop and got the same issue on both my pc and laptop. I have checked with my friends and it looked fine with them. hence I am really lost..
As someone else mentioned, car.2Montreal2.Level3.net is massively causing spikes on my end. 199.91.189.25/Gilgamesh is consistent with steady latency.
Edit: I don't think there are any other nodes around to dissipate this serious congestion.
At least part of the problem is in how you are getting routed there...which is governed by your ISP's policies. I'm routed via TATA atm and all is good. When something happens to cause it to go bad, my ISP switches me to someone else. If I ever land on Level3 it usually lasts MAYBE a couple weeks before they have to switch me back to either TATA or Cogent.
The point is, your ISP should be able to resolve it for you so you wouldn't need to use a VPN. But the use of a VPN can serve two purposes--it may solve your issues in the short term, and may demonstrate to your ISP that there are issues with how they are routing you. You can use the free trials for testing....some may even offer a restricted free use option for you to use as backup intermittently (some have a data cap, or you can use it for a set number of hours per day/week/month, etc.).

Being able to do something and actually doing it are different matters. My ISP wont reroute me simply cause of one bad connection, I feel a lot of people are going to have the same issue with getting their ISP to reroute they wont do it over one issue.
If they get enough similar complaints from their customers they usually will though. It often isn't JUST the sessions to Ormuco in Montreal having issues. We often see it narrowed down to routing through specific regions like Atlanta, Austin, Cleveland, Ashburn/DC, NY/NJ, etc. If you go to your ISP's forums you may see a lot of complaints for various services. Go through them you may see certain elements mentioned over and over again---like the name of a peering partner (ie: Level3, alter.net (part of Verizon), Cogentco), specific towns/regions having issues, specific time frames, etc.
Customers need to be making a lot of noise about the problem to their ISP. The more people back out of voicing their concerns, the longer the problem is likely to persist.
I posted this on another thread, but does anyone know if people on Comcast can play this game now. I remember a while ago that people with this service provider would have their routers throttled but I didn't know if this had been cleared up as there has been no more mention of it on the internet. I don't personally have Comcast but a friend of mine does and he would like to play this game but is worried to have his money wasted. Any help at all would be appreciated and his system is PS4.
Same here I was doing just fine with no 90k for a good while then after the maint now im getting 90k alot of times to the point i'm just lost and cant even raid properly at all.
