    Lobby Server Connection has Encountered an Error (5006) (2002)

    I am playing on Ps4 and for 5 days I have kept getting issues with logging in. I can usually get past the password login, but when I select Start, just before character selection I get kicked out with usually the (5006) error.

    Sometimes I can't get past the password login before I get 2002 error and this will usually go on for over 1 hour of constant tries to login. Also I will get to my character selection and think all is ok and then get kicked offline with same errors.

    I have also been in the middle of doing a fate or dungeon like Titan and get disconnected randomly. In this situation I can usually get back in only to find my character dead or sometimes even a complete loss of 1 whole level of exp.

    It is making me upset. As this is subscription and no one who is having this issue is being given any amount of day free for it. We are paying money for this not to occur and to play. I am on EU servers playing in Phoenix world and this only is happening to NA/EU not the Japanese servers as I was told in game.

    For a subscription service where your paying to play when you want and with me losing half a day of play due to this issue, there should be compensation. The day's effected should be re-added to our account. I played heaps of MMORPG's and even World of Warcraft added days back to issues that maintenance teams are meant to be fixing. I would be happy with 24 hour maintence to fix this than 5 days of wasted money. Yet still this isn't getting sorted out, this DDoS stuff.

    Just a side note. I have seen comments from People saying to block the region from where it is occurring, but I am in Australia, I don't agree with blocking Audtralia from playing due to those who could be at fault. If it is Americans doing it, does that mean all Americans should be blocked from playing.

    The above statement was from the bug section. I just feel something should be acted upon and fast. Plus some type of compensation for us for the amount of days we cannot get any real decent gaming in. I have been kicked offline on some days close to every 2 minutes I get back online. This can sometimes go on for up to an hour or more and thus is making me think secondly sbout my subscription which I Jude spent a heap on time cards for the future.

    I posted this on another thread, but does anyone know if people on Comcast can play this game now. I remember a while ago that people with this service provider would have their routers throttled but I didn't know if this had been cleared up as there has been no more mention of it on the internet. I don't personally have Comcast but a friend of mine does and he would like to play this game but is worried to have his money wasted. Any help at all would be appreciated and his system is PS4.

    Can't even sign in anymore

    I've been getting the error, "Connection with the server was lost" (90001/10104) since I started playing over a year ago. It's at least been playable and the error intermittent. In the past week (for w/e reason) it's upped itself to every 5 minutes. I get logged off and sent back to the main menu screen.

    This is only on my main on Chaos - Odin. I have another character on each of the Data Centers and another on Odin, whom this DOES NOT OCCUR with. Unfortunately, I have logged over 200 hours on my main.

    Since yesterday, I cannot get past the loading screen. It does not even sign me in, simply going straight to the 90001 error.

    I want to know why. I want to get help from the people I'm paying my money to. The fact that they don't care is extremely insulting. Because if they did care, they would have responded to us by now.

    Lobby Server failed Connection or 2002 code

    I don't know what to do, I was playing in the game got disconnected and now I can't connect at all. I have cycled modem, checked isp everything is fine but I get as far as the start screen and click on "start" and then it waits and waits and then says lobby server error. So I tried a different server, have a character on Goblin could see my character clicked on her to log in and it acts as though it is loading into game and bam, lobby server connection error again. My main character is on Levaithan, and I currently can no longer play. Please someone help me.

    I have avast and another program for virus but I've had it on my computer for over a year so I really don't think that is the issue. Someone please.

    I have the same problem that I got disconnected from Midgardsormr and now I can't connect to all North America servers. Europe and Japan servers however I can connect just fine. I have to use VPN in order to get in but as soon I disable it I got disconnected again.

    Oh my god.

    So last time I was paying for this game we had repeated server "maintenance" and a LOT of down time.. NOW, only a month after we re-subbed (maybe less), the NA servers are having issues. Issues. More issues.

    SQIX: Get. It. Together.

    We are PAYING for this time. I get that there are server issues and it just happens sometimes but this is ridiculous. Are your servers powered by freaking hamster wheels?? And if you CAN'T figure it out, you should be adding the time that we are missing to our subs. This isn't a difficult concept to grasp.

    It's Level 3 Communications. (Internet backbone that ISP's use for services.) If you are having problems. Check out this site to see how Level 3 is operating.

    Right now, it's pretty much useless. We can ONLY request our ISP stops using their services since they are constantly a problem.

    someone who gets it and has more than the minimalistic understanding of networking, the internet and attacks. It's not your ISP. It's not SE. It's the backbone the game goes through that is out. not much SE or ISP can do about it other than find another route.

    My problem with this explanation is that FFXIV seems to be the only online service affected in any measurable way.

    While I fully believe that level3 is a steaming pile, they've been like that for ages. The fact is that FFXIV is far FAR too sensitive to connection issues. It's probably fine in Japan where none of the connections have to go all that far, but in the US a connection has to travel potentially thousands of miles. So any minor hiccup at any point along that route is magnified and by the time it gets to Montreal, it's unusable.... but only FFXIV cares. Other internet services account for the fact that cross-continent infrastructure kinda sucks and adjusts its netcode accordingly so people aren't getting booted all the time.

    That is completely within SE's power to correct.
