Hey Ive been having latency/lag spikes while playing any game mode in FFXIV, it happens every 20secs or so. Very annoying and starting to feel hopeless and not fun to log in anymore. PS4 user

Having the same issue, lag spikes, dc's, currently unplayable on Ps4.
Internet suggests it's a problem with PSN though.

How many people having a 90k error actually TESTED the router before claiming it was not in cause?

Switch router with your dad or a friend. Buy a cheap 20$ router just for testing...

Routers are just like power bars. They have a limited lifespan. About 2 years for a decent one i'm told.

I was just like you claiming i never had any problem with the router. Ended up reading the router's log and testing it with an extra cabled router i had. And i solved my 90k problem doing so.

I don't know what to do, I was playing in the game got disconnected and now I can't connect at all. I have cycled modem, checked isp everything is fine but I get as far as the start screen and click on "start" and then it waits and waits and then says lobby server error. So I tried a different server, have a character on Goblin could see my character clicked on her to log in and it acts as though it is loading into game and bam, lobby server connection error again. My main character is on Levaithan, and I currently can no longer play. Please someone help me.

I have avast and another program for virus but I've had it on my computer for over a year so I really don't think that is the issue. Someone please.

I have the same problem that I got disconnected from Midgardsormr and now I can't connect to all North America servers. Europe and Japan servers however I can connect just fine. I have to use VPN in order to get in but as soon I disable it I got disconnected again.

I have continual issues with 90006. My internet connection is fine. My husband is playing FFXIV without issue on his computer. It is just my computer/game that is having problems at this time. Started just after we had the major server-wide issues and emergency maintenance.

To me it looks like I'm getting intermittent packetloss along the route and then a node right before the data center is discarding 98% of packets. I don't discount this node entirely because it DID respond to 2% of packets (rather than just ignoring echo requests altogether).

In response to other posts here, I'm perfectly willing to entertain the possibility that my router is partially at fault (it's a good router, but it's like 3 years old). But this would suggest that it can't be entirely at fault for this.

Well the game says my connection is excellent, I have tested my overall ping and it's fine, and I am even able to play three other games no problem. When I get on XIV, however, I experience bad lag and rubber-banding, so I know it's a server issue and not me....

So I just replaced my router and the problem didn't go away. Bad lag especially in dungeons. It's making playing the game a frustrating experience.
