HUGE CONNECTION PROBLEM

This has NOTHING to do with our ISP. I've had this problem for months. I lived in Minnesota using Comcast. I recently moved in with 3 other people that all play the game and do not have the problem. I now live 5 hours away and use a different ISP, Time Warner, and still have the problem. NONE of the THREE other people that I live with have this problem.


This is an account bound problem.

I don't know if this is account bound, or server, or ISP hops. I do know that after every or every other numbered patch, I suffer 90K issues followed by lobby errors. This will go on for a day to a week and then mysteriously fix itself.

This has been a repeating issue since launch and SE can't seem to stabilize their connections before this starts happening. I would gladly wait an addition 2 or 3 hours on patch day for them to wave a magic wand or sprinkle fairy dust so that no one has to be subjected to this most annoying problem. It has been a year after all.

When Patch 2.35 went live, I got disconnected via Error 90000 about every 5-10min. And now ever since the hotfix/maintenance, my disconnects have actually INCREASED in frequency to about every 2min. WTChocobo?!?!

You have not.

I just spent 3 frustrating hours being disconnected repeatedly about every 5-7 minutes. Seriously. Like 30 times. I wish I could remember the names of the group I did the XDR with. They should be given a special once-in-a-lifetime mount for their patience. I was healing it and I was 90k'd at least 7 times in that run, several of which caused wipes.

I have tried everything I know on my end (hard reboots) and everything but FFXIV seems to be working superb. It had been happening over the past week but with nowhere near the frequency that I have encountered tonight.

I consider the game completely unplayable as it stands now. I don't get to play that often and it is a waste of my money if, when I have the time to play, I cannot play. So if it continues that I cannot play, due to no fault of mine, the decision logically follows that I cannot pay.

Played frontlines yesterday....got 90k'd three times during that single match. As soon as I left the base, I got the first 90k. After loading back in, about 10 seconds later got the 2nd 90k. Then after I stepped off the base again later on in the match, I got the third 90k.

In all honesty, I've never seen that happen to me before in frontlines. And I've really been having technical issues with my game since 2.38 patch. I'll get the DC symbol next to my name at times, some lagging where everything freezes and catches up later.

I'm not sure what to do about this. It's not my internet connection because that works just fine, and I am hardwired. Help?

Figures. Stopped playing for months. Just when I finally make my return before patch 2.4 I pay money and can't even reunite with my character and friends...Never lets me passed the start screen. Hope this gets fixed very soon. As in "immediately" soon. I'd complain so hard if I waste an entire subscription cycle getting blocked out of the game.

Same here. Im on ps4 and its lagging like crazy. I was playing fine yesterday, but after the Hotfixes this morning the lag just went nuts. Summoning my mount has a 20 sec delay before it pops out. I just read somewhere that after the patches/updates they switch up something and you need to wait till your ISP refreshes or syncs again with the servers.

Having really bad lag and packet and connection loss since 2.38 but has increased in severity lately.

Funny thing looking at the traceroute. Packets from NA to JP take ony 74 ms but within JP, there's a pass off that more than doubles that time at asiannetcom which is SE's provider according to the above.

Seriously, I'm tired of "patiently" waiting for you to fix these errors. We pay for this. For some of us this is our prime time of play during the day. Fix your errors and let us enjoy the game. You shouldn't be having these problems. The excuses that you just have a patch shouldn't be even existent. Test your patch, find your errors, fix them, release the patch. I fully support everyone that is raging and complaining about the errors. Man you guys are competing with the vast amount of Pay-to-Play MMORPGs that are out there. and you're tinkering with one of the GREATEST franchises that have ever existed. For some of the new generation it will just mean a bad game. But for people like myself and more it will mean a crack in the foundation of the history of Final Fantasy that revolutionized my gaming experience. You have alot of pressure on this game. I'd put more effort/pride into making a worth experience for your players.

I'm on Behemoth cant do anything in game dc every 5 minuets and I'm on pc im not the only one on Behemoth i cant run dungeons or anything so i can get sol and poetic for gear Wats the point in playing if i cant ever stay on for more then 5 minuets
