I think that most of the fun stuff is held off to lvl 50 but there is some fun stuff to do pre lvl 50. But I just think that most of the quest the have you do is mostly fetch and deliver quest or kill x number of mobs. But there are some cool memorable storyline quest though.

As everyone has said, the game begins at level 50. That's where you start making friends and getting into statics and doing all the EX/raiding. However, I say that, I'm currently leveling SCH on an alt and having a lot of fun. That may be because I've done all the end game stuff (bar T9), got the t-shirt, got bored of it... finding re-doing the story and re-leveling classes way more fun. But that's just me. :P If the leveling part of the game isn't for you, the end game might be. But it's a lot of time to put in to get to end game and realise you don't like it... :P

I found the earlier stuff to be good with lots of challenge. I started playing in Beta and continued at launch. Unfortunately, SE have nerfed a lot of the earlier content to make it easier, combined with Duty Finder Roulette putting over powered characters into the instance the early dungeons are probably very boring for everyone. Remember when Ifrit story mode was very difficult, Amdapor Keep Demon Wall (they removed the bees!!), etc. SE seems to keep the challenge only at the pointy end of the game.

This completely. The 1-50 level grind is probably not feeling fun for many newer players because they get rolled into a dungeon with 4 rouletted high level players who faceroll the dungeon/trial. It's somewhat sad that newer players cant get the same experience those who played at launch had with fumbling through dungeons with 3 other new players with no cross class skills or level synced gear. The Primals especially were a challenge. Titan was always an OMFG moment for people. Stone Vigil, Dzamael Darkhold, Aurum Vale...were all huge roadblocks. Now even Praetorium is a faceroll with one or two new 50s and 6 overgeared vets.

Ifrit story was only difficult if only 1 person attacked the nail. It is now easier not because it got nerfed, but because people know now what to do.

People always ignored the bees anyway. Didn't even notice they were gone till weeks afterwards when someone mentioned it.

I fell in love with this game moments into picking it up back in the phase 3 beta on PS3 and played it pretty much every single day since then. I'm a HUGE Final Fantasy fan, the story and the world are very important to me. If you don't care about any of this, the game won't appeal to you... there's no point in continuing your subscription if you don't care about the lore and what not to the game.

This game doesn't get good. It is good.

You're probably not going to like it if you didn't like it so far.

Story in the beginning is slow, but picks up on pace after level 15. The low level duties are challenging from around level 32 on, if you confront it with people who are undergeared or still learning how to play their jobs. The endgame presents you with more unusual mechanics in fights, and a lot of things you can opt to grind on. You will prefer to become part of a LS or FC for endgame content, which is where a sense of community comes in. Playing through the story for the first time is more like a solo game.

But basically, if at over level 40, you're not motivated to get to the endgame, looking around for an LS or FC for people to socialize with, not enjoying the story or graphics or sound or overall feel of gameplay, then this game might not be down your alley.

IMHO, the game can be said to be fully ready in approx 2-3 years after release. When the worlds getting bigger, tons worth of content to play.

Right now dev.team less focusing on end-game content, many people after clearing coil they don't know what to do in-game until coil reset and this will continue for another 5 months or maybe after 2.4 when the next coil release, people will still always be like this.
Some people like challenging content, like pvp but sadly current battle system for pvp is dull like cat chasing rat games. You can see this video for example.

like XI's online the game wasn't meant to be ready since the first launch until their 3rd expansion the game was began getting really good and enjoyable. Playing other game or wait until this game ready. Your choice

I don't think you're gonna like it if you didn't from the start. I enjoyed it the second I started playing and I have spent countless of hours just walking around exploring and taking screenshots. the graphics are amazing and I also love all the cute vanity gear.
I find dungeons and that kinda stuff just so so. There's nothing hard really except for the really hardest dungeons. But then you need a group of 8 players that know what theyre doing to do them. As I dont really have time for that I just enjoy the other parts of the game.
