Was there a nonbroken class >.> Besides Summoner? Or was Summoner broken too?
Peach Parfait/Khulan Angura on Gilgamesh
Summoner was broken in that it was for the most part useless other than being a glorified White Mage. It was used a bit at end game until zerg rushes came into the picture. nvm I guess... >_> I'm not sure why, but Summoner isn't really popular in Abyssea....![]()

There were no broken classes tbh. Keyword were. NIN and WAR are pretty OP nowadays. Dancer is just an amazing class all around but it's not overpowered by any means (It's also my new main in FFXI).
I agree. It requires careful balancing, but SE kinda nailed it in that department with XI's Dancer.Dear SE. I'd really like to see you continue the tradition you created with Dancer, that was mimicked in Warhammer Online with Warpriest.
And that is the Front Line Healer. A Cloth/Leather Wearing Melee Fighter who uses their melee attacks to fuel abilities that assist the party with healing and minor buffs like Haste, Regen, Protect, etc.
When Dancer came out on FFXI it literally became my favorite job and sub job. It changes how a player could play jobs like Warrior and Samurai. I could actually MAIN HEAL as a Samurai with Dancer Subbed. This was quite possibly one of the most fun side effects of the Dancer Jobs implementation.
Now I know, not everyone even likes the idea of a Front Line Healer. For some reason they hate the idea that a healer is on the front line, can deal damage. And Damage Dealt is used to Heal others. But I LOVE this idea. Its still very unique among MMO's, and i think FFXIV would benefit from a class and job that can perform this roll.
Warrior Priest was a bit much in WAR. It was kinda funny because whenever I'd encounter a healing class from the opposite faction (chaos I think), we would sit there whacking each other and healing ourselves so much that in the end we'd just give up and go our separate ways as we were never able to kill one another. Man that game was fun for like, two weeks.
Thats why I always rolled with a WitchHunter with me in PVP. I'd tank and spank, and they would gank. Game over little Chaos.Warrior Priest was a bit much in WAR. I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

Me, I went with a White Lion in WAR. Lotsa fun, but yeah, only for a couple weeks.
...kinda like this game. T_T
I'm not against it, but against it becoming subbable. Then again, I hated FFXI's concept of "subs for soloing", which is what Dancer in part became. I'm all for creating front-line healers, though. Just leave the melee-connected enfeebling to Red Mage this time around and we'll both be at peace.Now I know, not everyone even likes the idea of a Front Line Healer. * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
I loved my dancer... even though everyone made fun of my frilly shirt and tights. Atleast until I healbombed them for 900 HP stole hate then blink tanked the mob til it died.
More dancer!
...maybe less frills?
froget the front line healers, do you really want to see everyone on top of the mob then all of a sudden it does a move to wipe the party and all the "its your fault" arguments. people already do it.
