Yes this idea is pure win, lets add LS vs. LS 15 man battles too.

LS vs LS would be awesome! maybe have a island. where players can go to fight PVP PVE for control according to your nation? I know they said nation would not matter, but perhaps change that idea, or make it race controller. just a thought.

I don't want to see "standard" PvP in this game. However, I wouldn't be opposed to PvP similar to what was in FFXI, like Ballista and the like.

This is exactly what I originally imagined when I heard of the Coliseum in Ul'dah way back before beta. Not only would I be shocked if this was not implemented, I would be appalled that the devs didn't consider it an idea worth implementing. It is a very good idea, and a controlled means for allowing people to scratch their PvP itch without bothering those who have no desire to participate. Add in the PvE idea into the coliseum (Already exists in lore) and you ensure that it doesn't have the same fate as Ballista.

Great idea.
Even if something only basic and small were implemented at first, it would be a huge plus for the game as of now.
PvE side sounds like stuff straight out of a "Tales of..." game. People would go nuts over this. Sounds awesome to me.
