PVP Coliseum Content

I don't want to see "standard" PvP in this game. However, I wouldn't be opposed to PvP similar to what was in FFXI, like Ballista and the like.

This is exactly what I originally imagined when I heard of the Coliseum in Ul'dah way back before beta. Not only would I be shocked if this was not implemented, I would be appalled that the devs didn't consider it an idea worth implementing. It is a very good idea, and a controlled means for allowing people to scratch their PvP itch without bothering those who have no desire to participate. Add in the PvE idea into the coliseum (Already exists in lore) and you ensure that it doesn't have the same fate as Ballista.

Great idea.
Even if something only basic and small were implemented at first, it would be a huge plus for the game as of now.
PvE side sounds like stuff straight out of a "Tales of..." game. People would go nuts over this. Sounds awesome to me.

I really really want the colosseum to be used to duel other players and I support this idea.

If they do do this I'd like the instance to work like pankration in FFXI. You can go to multiple arenas and watch different fights with commentators and such. A great general place to hang out.

Pvp for 1v1 or party vs party, plus chocobo races, blood circles.

I like the idea of a coliseum style pvp only if there are rewards. Need more than just "lol i pwnd juu", players place bids and winner takes all? Of course there has to be a minimum bid and PvM sounds cool as well.
