Are you sure you can get the opposite gender items from the Lightning event from these NPCs? I thought you could only get 1.xx stuff from them.I think the system in which you can reacquire event specific gear from Calamity Salvagers already does this. At the very least, I got the female swimsuits from the Summer event and was able to buy the male swimsuits from the Salvager if I wanted. Not a straight exchange, to be certain, but not completely inaccessible and quite cheap too.
Not sure about the Lightning Event, but you can get oppisete gender swimwear and stuff. its not Just 1.xx stuff, btw. You might be thinking of their old function. But they now let you buy gear from past seasonal events, unique and stuff. not just trade 1.0 gear in for gil/seals or whatever they used to do.
I can agree, I missed that event also, coz I bought game in February...but I think a lot of PS4 players would be happy to had a chance to do it.
I'm missing the most hairstyle of Lightning, I know it's available for Hyur atm, not for other races (my poor Miqo'te T_T). I just hope that they'll put once more Lightning Strikes Event in game or if not, some other evens in the future, where we can get every of rewards...

The devs have given their response to this
yaaay...lucky me then...
They don't currently have plans to repeat it, but it's still possible they could decide to if enough people seem to want it, so it's worth periodically reminding them about here on the forums. It was a popular event with popular rewards. Many people who either missed it or weren't high-level enough for its later stages would like a repeat. (I myself fall into the later category. I got all the way up to the level 45 quest on one of my characters, but only the early stages of it on my other two characters, including the one I play the most.)
My vote: Have the FFXIII:LR tie-in event repeat as an annual thing until it's time to replace it with a FFXV tie-in event (which could then itself become an annual thing).
So, I have been asking for this since I found out about it, started after it was over, seems they are doing it again, does anyone have any advice or information about the event, comments etc also welcome
Basically, it's a set of four separate quests, started by reporter NPCs in each of the three cities. Each quest involves having to go out and find a specific FATE where Lightning will appear and will fight in the battle. Assuming your participation counted each time will gain you a special item which you take back to the NPC who gave you the quest for one piece of either Lightning's armour (for female characters), or Snow's armour (for men).
The first set of FATEs also drop a separate item which you have to trade to another NPC found in Limsa Lominsa who will give you a FFXIII/XIII-2/LR-XIII themed weapon. Note that the FATEs that drop this particular item can be done as many times as you want, allowing you to eventually get all the FFXIII weapons, one for each currently available class. That's it in a (kupo)nutshell.![]()
Oh wow, there's a FFXIII themed SMN book then? That's pretty cool.Basically, it's a set of four separate quests, started by reporter NPCs in each of the three cities.
