Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
SMN class that essentially acts like a BLM as it did in previous games. Summon > Boom > goes away. That way it won't have to be underpowered as it was being an actual pet class. Or maybe have the option to keep summons out for less damage but they can buff/debuff and if you don't keep them out, you can use them for damage.
What about if it's done like it is in FFX and FFXII, where the summon replaces your character in battle and you have full control of it? That has some possibilities for awesomeness.SMN class that essentially acts like a BLM as it did in previous games. Summon > Boom > goes away. I'm almost afraid to say this, but it could be similar to WoW's Feral Druid, except with multiple summons you would have a lot more versatility rather than simply wearing a fursuit and mimicking other classes (not that I don't like furry stuff, though).

Dragoon. Sans-Wyvern, for the love of everything that is holy.
Red Mage would also be a suitable alternative.
I blame Ivan.
Thief...............
And Summoner and Blue Mage would be cool.
Musketeer with rifles, please.

Theif,ninja, ranger!
everything in ffxi to be honest...
ffxi has quite a good composition of classes...
like see dark knight and paladin
Dual Wield Ninja-like
2-Hand-Sword Dark Knight-like.
I would prefer that a lot over my Gladiator...
