lol Reinheart, that would be some class.
dual blade useror maybe lum it into a job as a sword master
*pretty please add cool animations*
I'd like the idea of a Great Katana class, But then I love the game's current art style and I'd love to see it expanded to Hakama, Haidate, Gi, Domaru and Sune-ate.
Same deal for the Persian/Arabian styles for Blue mage. (And possibly thief?)
Though, really, I am very curious how Bard will work. And I think just in how I currently enjoy the game (that is, I mostly just wander around and explore.) I think it'd be neat to be sort of a wandering minstrel kinda character.
Commando: weapon, Gunblade.
example weaponskills: Renzokuken, Army of One, Ruin shot
Strengths: good multi-range damage dealer, magic potency slightly higher than most DoW
Weaknesses: HP comparable to arc, lower defense, most damaging weaponskills require 1500+ TP to use
Compatible jobs: War, Rdm, Rng.
Knight - Tank/Dps
Samurai - Dps/Dual wield wakazashi/Double hand Katanas/Duel wield Kama
Dragoon - Dps
Paladin - Tank/heal
Ninja - Dps/Dual wield Ninja Swords
Geomanencer - Dps/Support
Summoner - Dps
Dark Knight - Dps/ Life steal
Flail/whip - Flayer - Blue mage/learns spells from enemies
Great katana - Vagrant - Far east theme, many DD abilities, with cooldown
katana - Assassin - learns dual wield, eva stuffs, enfeebs
great sword - Soldier (lul) - self buffs, low def high output
Staff - Stavesman - fights like pole from FFXII, more of a spiritual fighter
Scythe - Reaper - good damage, good defense, sacrificial attacks for non elemental damage etc
Rapier - Fencer - Works like FFTA2 fencer/spellblade
Gun - Musketeer - They probably already have a direction for this.
Staff machine - Arcanist - They probably already have a direction for this.
instruments - Bard - They are making this a job, i would have just had it with buff abilities
Dice/Cards - Magic Gambler - myriad of stuff
Soil - Geomancer - weather/terrain/day of the week/month, myriad of abilities
Gunblade - Fusilier - DD and debuffs

I'd definitely like to see whips added as a weapon, regardless of class.
I'd like to see a dancer type class, the Ul'dah intro cutscene was very inspiring with them dancing during the parade. The way that mobs are frequently partied and close would make confusion/charm an interesting spell.
I'd also like to see a pet class. It would be interesting if it was like a familiar that was tied to you and grew as you ranked up. So 1-10 it would be an baby/egg and then 10-20 it would be a juvenile and then it would get stronger/older. Either the other commands the player had equipped or its armor would affect their attacks, and perhaps when they grow they could affect how they look.
Chocobo-handler. would be like a DOL, player would have abilities to raise chocobos and perform other chocobo related activities. some of their abilities could be Class-all so that at players who ranked up the job wouldn't need to switch if they wanted to ride etc. Could go on quests involving caring for NPC chocobos.
Gardener.. DOL/ special DOH. players could grow their own plants using various seeds, water and apply certain fertalizers. Lord of the Rings online has a farming mechanic where these were performed in various fields over a short period of time, but having long term gardens in a player owned space would probably be more interesting.
I want them all. Every single one of them. Gunblades etc
Including new jobs like Necromancer.
Musketeer!
