What server to choose as beginner ?

Hi all,i started playing this game since yesterday and was wondering what is one of the highest populated servers where most people speak english ? As of now i'm on Gysahl,started in Ul'Dah and it looks pretty active here.I see alot of people,but the main problem is,i have yet to see anyone talk english,dozens of people talking asian and no one talks english.Am i in the wrong server ?

If so please direct me to an active english speaking server,because ive just been hopping from one server to another since yesterday and hardly played yet because everytime i feel im in the wrong server,either non populated or as now,non english speaking...Ty !

Hm...I know there are a lot of English-speaking linkshells on Wutai, but at the moment many of the end-game ones are on hiatus until 1.18, nearly all of my own included. You should see tons of people come Thursday though. I know I'll be on.

EDIT: We do have many players that aren't end-game or are working on lower-level classes, so you could possibly join.

Figaro has a large population, so if you don't know anyone it would be a great place to start and make friends!

No one person is going to have a collective experience from every single server to give you an educated response as to which one rises above all others in english-speaking players. I don't get these threads. It's explicitly stated which servers are the most populated during your character creation. That information is as relevant as anything that anyone will say in this thread.

Yes it states which servers are the most populated but since this is an international game i was thinking that most asians would probably be joining the same server,just like most american or european people would do.And i dont want to end up on a server where the majority speaks a language i do not understand.Or that the timezones are too different.
Anyway thanks for the responses guys,i decided to join Mysidia instead,and already have met more english speakig people here then on Gysahl.

Victor is correct, i cant say which is the best, but i can tell you there are some strong North American LS's on mysidia.
