    They probably could save money on it as most of their account retrievals could be handled by an automated service instead of having customer service reps review files.

    -They would have to do all this before I can get to my wireless provider and have them disactivate the SIM card and transfer it to a new device.

    Much tighter security.
    Exactly, a stolen phone you can just call your phone company and they usually block it right away, on your new terminal you can still get the same sms, instead of going with a GM and start the long chore process of verification.

    To be fair, ME3 multiplayer isn't really like an MMO, where you are nearly building an alternate life. Much more to lose in an MMO.
