Maybe you should have read who/what I was responding to before you made your troll? Console RPG =/= MMORPG and there is implementation/cost to think about. The only other FF MMO on the market didn't have a train because it didn't fit with the style of the game nor was it practical. Same goes for FFXIV.

9 - Gargan and Fossil Roo I guess count...and the Lindblum trolley

12 - No train (mine carts don't count, and the Barheim passage is abandoned)

14 - No train

Almost all? I count 5 with, 9 without.

FF7 - Crisis Core (Opening Scene)
FF7 - Before Crisis (Multiple Scenes)
FFXII had Trolley Trains to get around that one advanced tech city.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers - Trains are main form of transportation and heavily part of sections of the story including a stealth infiltration mission (which was actually a lot of fun)
