And the frequency of tells I get never EVER changes.Do you even read these? They come out fairly regularly.
The goal is not to stop RMT---the goal is to make it too expensive/resource intensive for them to sell in FFXIV so that they decide to devote their resource elsewhere.
That is possible. Right now every account costs the RMTs about $40 to create, right? What if SE made it so that it would be effectively impossible for RMTs to gilspam until they paid a month's subscription. That would make it about 1/3 more expensive per account. There's a big step right there. And if SE took some of our suggestions and temporarily blocked an account's (not a player's) ability to tell/shout/yell after X number of blacklistings (for investigation), that would again make each account less useful/profitable for RMTs.
If all of a sudden RMTs' profits dropped by 50% for FFXIV, perhaps they'd focus their attention elsewhere...
Maybe the same amount since gil sellers wouldn't have to make another account since the current one didn't get banned. So whatever S.E is doing isn't working and only getting worst.
BETTER FILTERS OR RIOT!!! *insert all the riot thingies*

Square Enix probably cares more about RMT-related issues than any other MMO developer.
I guess I find it only a minor concern since I've seen FAR worse in other games.
In fact, I've seen it far worse in THIS game, and the worse issues have been dealt with and quite promptly.
Saying that RMT tells "ruin the game" is a bit over dramatic in my opinion, RMT are in every single MMO I have ever played and I've played a lot of them. Also, not saying I never get them anymore but the number of RMT tells I get these days is way less than it was a few months ago which leads me to believe something is being done at least. Not really sure what you guys expect here, show me one successful MMO that doesn't have RMT.
Check this post. The ideas and method are there, just give your like to them so maybe SE can see them.

Eventually, feel free to add your own ideas there... If we make a big thread about this instead of many, will always call more the attention, just like happened with fantasia, (And happens viceversa with Atma things, that they are just ignoring the thousand thread about it)
I don't know in your servers, but in newer ones, such as Zodiark, it is a massive invasion of bots, because they know that people would really think about buying there, for example for have one of the first manors in a residential district or for buying everything they'd like from the market and level up crafters... Whatever, new server = new candy for RMT

I found 4-5 people that are using Bots that are also linked to another Boting group of another 5 players I think.
I can proof those 4-5 people are using bots but cant proof others are but how they are currently leveled, geared they seem to be backups for sprintbonding.
It seems 9 characters are botting for 1 free company member that has maxed levels on everything.
