I do not belive they care at all about RMT. Give a man a job spamming the ban hammer on every RMT that sends him a tell or makes a shout in game and the RMT infestation would be gone fairly quick. So what is the problem?

The shouters are just pawns. They don't hold any value or gil so more can be created.
( ' ')/\(' ' )
Plus, they mass ban the bots rather than individually. Look at their reports on bans and you may see they care more than you believe.
You seriously can't stop the RMT folks. There's literally nothing SE can do about preventing them from doing what they do. The only option is to put in measures to minimize the impact, but it won't stop them. They're just bots and they always come back.
I find it weird that RMT only comes to when there is Majority ENG speaking players... Masamune have no more for months now. but Tonberry.. just yesterday i went in and bam, RMT tells...
go figure.. <_<
Do you even read these? They come out fairly regularly.
I'd like them to try to minimize the impact then. Some sort of whitelist(where only friends on it can /tell, which has been suggested a billion times) or SOMETHING. Anything that helps stops the RMT /tells besides turning off tells completely. I actually may turn off my tells, come to think of it.
Like it's been said in other threads, lots of F2P MMOs have better ways of blocking RMT spam than FF14 does. :/ The reason I agree that they don't really care that much about RMTs is because of this fact.
I've had like one in the last month which is about the same as I got on Masamune.
