Meh. For anything that is unclear as to being acceptable or not, I'd say just go for it until a definitive answer is given. Decisions on exploits is not something that takes decision makers a long time to ponder on. They have the freedom to make the call center around a universal acceptance (e.g. yes, win-trading is acceptable but we don't want it to get out of hand... SMDH), claim that it is NOT acceptable (win-trading is against the methods of play we have in mind for PvP and will result in punishment), or just pick and choose based on the situation.

If they intentionally choose to hold off on officially saying something about it, then that's all on them. Players will always seek ways to speed up ways to get things, and if it's not clear as to being punishable, we will always take advantage of that fact. Just the way we are.

Some cheats/exploitations are harmful to the balance of the game BUT with such improved awareness by the developers and responsiveness they have little excuse to let that abuse continue.

..on the other hand, other cheats are just annoying. Especially if you worked hard for something and somebody else found a sneaky way to do it easier. It doesn't negate the fact that you worked for it but it still stings.

I play as legit as possible and, with this game especially, I try to do research online to prepare for challenges ahead. Unspoiled noids are a great example. You could pull your hair out trying to find the first round of items or with a little research you discover what to expect from the higher level UNs.

If finding shortcuts to 'your' endgame make it more fun for you, then go for it, but don't think that you're any better for it.

they need to crack down on people who enter dungeons and leave before 30 seconds has expired because they don't get the dungeon they don't want. They know that they won't get the penalty if they leave real quick. The game has a shortage of healers and tanks on most servers as it is and if a dps queues waits 20+ minutes to get into a duty roulette for someone to bail because its not brayflox and they know they will get insta queue. It's an exploit they are supposed to receive a 30 minute penalty for leaving dungeons.... They need to fix this EXPLOIT!!

If something is an obvious exploit, don't do it. It's that simple.

It happen in LoTRO too with rank farming, it took them 5+ years to make a statement against it and they took down the only way of tracking it while pretending to ban offenders. Chances are if they haven't made a statement despite being aware by now, they will just tolerate it. Gotta keep that sub money.
